DEEP PURPLE – California Jam 3D

Handcrafted Pop Up Book inspired by the historic concert of April 6, 1974, at the Ontario Motor Speedway.

The lineup is the Mark III, featuring Jon Lord, Ian Paice, Ritchie Blackmore, David Coverdale, and Glenn Hughes. The concert, organized by ABC, featured Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Emerson Lake & Palmer, and the Eagles. The show featured a couple of intense moments, including when Blackmore smashed his Stratocaster into a camera (Dave Hilmer cameraman), and at the end when a rogue blew out Blackmore’s Marshall jack using a gasoline can.

The Pop-Up is entirely handmade on 250g semi-gloss paper, in a limited edition of just 50 copies, all signed by the author. Size of an LP vinyl record (32x32cm). Hard cover in black canvas cardboard. It is a handcrafted object.

Rock Up is a pop-up series conceived and created by Angelo Ferrari, whose theme is the great rock musicians. Each PopUp is made, cut and glued entirely by hand. All Rock Up spreads aim to reproduce a specific tour or concert in detail.
